Correction to Print Version of the Fall 97 Newsletter

In our efforts to remember the women in BC who have been victims of violence at the hands of their intimate partners, we erroneously included Sharon Velisek's name as having been killed. Sharon Velisek was a victim of brutal violence, but lived to talk about it. The BC Institute on Family Violence would like to extend our most sincere apologies to Sharon Velisek and her family for the misprint which appeared in our Fall 1997 newsletter. We endeavour to remember all women who have been injured and or killed by their intimate partners. Violence is never acceptable, for any reason.
