Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children:
Sexual Health Resource Network

The Sexual Health Resource Network was established to provide service province-wide for children and young people with disabilities. The Sexual Health Resource Network recognizes that young people with disabilities are particularly vulnerable to sexual abuse. As well as recognizing that present systems often fail to support the needs of children and youth with disabilities.

The goals of the Network are:

  • To increase the understanding of healthy sexual development among young children and young people with disabilities
  • To ensure those who have experienced sexual abuse will have access to information about services

The Sexual Health Resource Network provides a Resource and Information Library as well as Training and Education.
Services can be accessed Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
